About the Territory

  • How do I get to Bovill, Idaho?

Spokane, Washington is the closest international airport. Regional airports are available in Lewiston and Pullman. From Spokane, the drive to Bovill is roughly 2 hours. From Lewiston, it is about 1 hour. Rental cars are available at both airports.

  • Is the land you operate on public or private?

The majority of our hunting territory is public land.

  • What is the size of the hunting territory?

Our permitted hunting area encompasses over 600 square miles, providing a wide range of hunting opportunities.

  • What altitude will I be hunting at? Do I need to acclimate?

Most hunts take place between 2,000 and 5,000 feet. In most cases, special acclimation is not necessary.

  • If hunting is slow in one area, can we move locations?

Yes. With a territory this large, we have the flexibility to relocate as conditions or animal movement dictate.

  • What modes of transportation do you use?

We primarily use ATVs and 4WD vehicles to access hunting areas. Horses are not typically used.

  • What is hunting pressure like in your area?

Due to the size of our territory, we spread hunts out to minimize pressure and maintain quality hunting conditions.

About the Hunts

  • What type of hunting will we be doing?

Hunting methods vary depending on species, season, and conditions. Techniques may include spot-and-stalk, stand hunting (tree stands or ground blinds), still hunting, or other appropriate methods.

  • How much of the day do we hunt?

As much as you are comfortable with. We tailor each day to the hunter’s preferences and energy level.

  • How physically demanding are the hunts?

That depends on the hunter. We have plenty of good hunting areas that require minimal hiking, which work great for older hunters or anyone with mobility concerns. We also have more demanding terrain for those wanting a tougher hunt. We match the hunt to your ability and comfort level.

  • What is included in the cost of the hunt?

Hunts include lodging, meals, and guided services. Items not included are state sales tax, hunting license, and animal tags.

  • Are meals provided?

Yes. Home-cooked meals are included as part of your hunt.

  • Will camp be moved if game is not located?

We maintain healthy game populations throughout our territory. Relocation is rarely necessary.

  • Will rifles be sighted in?

Yes. Rifles are sighted in the day before the hunt at our shooting range.

  • What optics should I bring?

High-quality binoculars are strongly recommended. A 10x42 binocular with good clarity is ideal. Optics are not provided.

  • Is there a place for game processing?

Yes. We skin, debone, and freeze harvested game. Meat is prepared for transport but not cut and wrapped.

  • How are capes and taxidermy handled?

Capes are frozen for transport. We can recommend reputable taxidermists if needed.

  • If I tag out early, what happens?

Hunters are welcome to enjoy the full length of their trip. The area offers fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

  • Do I need to bring my own linens?

No. Linens are provided, though hunters are welcome to bring their own if preferred.

  • What is the typical shooting distance?

Rifles are sighted in at 200 yards. Hunters should be comfortable shooting at extended distances, ideally 300 yards or more.

About the Guides

  • What does a guided hunt mean?

Our guides are highly familiar with the terrain, animal movement, and hunting strategies. Their goal is to provide a safe, ethical, and productive hunt.

  • How many guides are assigned per hunter?

Depending on the hunt, you may be paired one-on-one with a guide or in a two-on-one arrangement.

  • Do your guides live in the area?

Yes. Our guides live and hunt locally and have extensive knowledge of the country.

  • Do guides perform preseason scouting?

Yes. Guides scout prior to the season to stay current on animal activity and conditions.

Tags & Preparation

  • Do I need to draw a tag?

Hunters are encouraged to apply through Idaho Fish & Game. If you draw a tag in units we operate in (such as Units 5, 6, or 8A), that works well. If not, contact us to discuss options.

  • What is required to secure my hunt dates?

A deposit of $1,500 is required to secure your hunt and reserve your dates. Once the deposit is received, we will work with you to select hunt dates that best fit your schedule and the season.

  • What should I bring with me?

Gear requirements vary by hunt. After booking, we provide a detailed gear list specific to your hunt.
