Fresh Snow. Hot Tracks. One Chance.

Guided bobcat hunts in Northern Idaho — follow a bobcat through thick winter cover with elite hounds and experienced guides.

Bobcats are ghosts of the thickets…quiet, fast, and fiercely elusive.

When the snow falls and the rivers freeze, their tracks tell the story. On our guided bobcat hunts in Northern Idaho, you’ll follow that story deep into rugged winter terrain with experienced guides and a pack of highly trained BearPath-Plott hounds.

This is a high-adrenaline chase through heavy brush and riverbank cover, real fair-chase hunting with no guarantees and no shortcuts.

A Quiet Predator

WHEN & WHERE WE HUNT

A man standing next to a snowmobile in a snowy forest, with a dog and a cat sitting on the back of the snowmobile.
  • Season: December through January

  • Best Conditions: After a fresh snow

  • Hunting Area: 450+ square miles of national forest and private land

Your hunt involves traveling mountain roads and trails by 4x4, ATV, or snowmobile while we scout for fresh tracks. If needed, guides will hike into remote terrain to cut sign. Once we find a promising trail, the hounds are turned loose—and the chase begins.

Because hounds can cover so much country so quickly, we’ll keep you with the vehicle until the cat is treed. Then we’ll move fast to get you as close as possible before hiking in to finish the hunt.

Not Everyone Can Say They’ve Done This

Most hunters never see a bobcat in the wild—let alone pursue one through winter timber behind a world-class pack of hounds in Northern Idaho.

This is your chance to write a rare chapter in your hunting story.
